The Spirit of the Wine

« The expression of the estate »

The Château de La Grenière plots have the largest surface area on the estate with a rare uniqueness in its soil composition. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon take root in clay-silt soil with a subsoil dominated by blue clays, so precious for the freshness of wines in warm vintages. The terroir and aging half in oak barrels, half in vats, reveal a dense wine on ripe black fruit, endowed with menthol notes and suave tannins.
Château de La Grenière is the flagship of the estate. It expresses the quintessence of our terroirs, combining the freshness of blue clays with the generosity of our grape varieties.
