The Builder

Jean-Pierre Dubreuil

The Taproot of the Vineyard, Jean-Pierre Dubreuil took the reins in 1987. A tireless builder and member of the Jurade de Saint-Émilion, he patiently reconstituted the historical vineyard scattered in 1914. He transforms heritage into ambition, elevating the terroirs by creating single-parcel cuvées and anchoring the estate in a recognized quest for excellence.

The Aesthete

Audren Dubreuil

Oenologist (ISVV), Audren embodies the technical evolution of the 21st century. His vision is one of precision: revealing the pure expression of the terroir. An inspired creator (Franc Pour Cent, L'Oubliée), he combines scientific expertise with intuition to craft wines where tannic elegance and fruit radiance prevail.

It all begins with the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Faise in the 18th century. These "soil engineers" had already identified the unique soil diversity of La Grenière as an elite terroir. But the founding act of the Dubreuil family took place in 1914. This transition from "farmer" to "master" forged the estate's DNA.

The Dubreuil Founding

At the dawn of the Great War, the Dubreuil family, then sharecroppers, mobilized their savings to buy the estate at auction. A founding act of resilience that transformed operators into free owners.

Audren's Precision

Audren officially joined the family estate, embodying the oenological shift of the 21st century. With Franc Pour Cent, the first 100% Cabernet Franc cuvée, he demonstrated that a wine for aging can seduce from its youth: accessibility and excellence reconciled.
